tap into the room
was created out of love, hope, and a way for families like mine to no longer feel alone.
The one piece of advice I can give to all of you, seek out support.
When our daughter was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease I had no idea what was in store for her or our family. I quickly understood that Crohn’s was a disease that must be managed on a day to day basis and there was never going to be a “day off” from it. That’s when I turned to social media to find families in our similar situation.
The Crohn’s/Colitis community immediately welcomed Iris with open arms. Families reached out to me with reassurance on our darkest of days. This was truly humbling to me. I would not be where I am today with Iris’ health if it were not for the unbelievable support that has been graciously given to us.
In creating Tap Into The Room I hope to bridge the gap from despair to hope. From feeling alone to feeling supported. From feeling different to feeling exactly like your peers.
I look forward to working along side of you.
